CMCSS students’ report cards for the second nine weeks of the 2020-21 school year will be available on Monday, January 11. Since traditional students are learning remotely at this time, report cards will not be printed by the school. Report cards can be accessed online using the CMCSS Parent Self-Service webpage – parents.cmcss.net.

CMCSS will extend remote learning for all CMCSS traditional students through Fri., Jan. 22. The goal is to bring all traditional students back for in-person learning on Mon., Jan. 25.

As a reminder, the USDA approved for CMCSS to continue serving free breakfast and lunch meals to all children 18 and under, as the district has since March. In the traditional model, students are physically present in their zoned schools. While the traditional model will provide some normalcy during the pandemic, there will be several district-wide and school-specific precautions and modifications in place to mitigate, not eliminate, risk of COVID-19.

Over the past few weeks, a Communicable Disease Team (CDT) comprised of leaders from CMCSS and the Montgomery County Health Department have been meeting regularly to review the latest guidance from the CDC, monitor the health and attendance of CMCSS students and employees, and make recommendations to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

Congratulations to our Science Olympiad team on their 4th Place overall finish in Chattanooga! They will now travel to the state competition on April 24-25, 2020!

Middle College at Austin Peay State University has been named a Reward School by the Tennessee Department of Education for the 6th year! The state grades schools on achievement, growth, graduation rate, absenteeism, and other factors. Our school’s rating was 4 out of 4 which is an “Exemplary” rating.
