I received my undergraduate degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. I am certified to teach Dance (K-12) and English (7-12) in Tennessee and Texas. I obtained my graduate degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University in 2008 and my second Masters in Literature and Creative Writing from APSU. I am currently a student at Emerson College pursuing an MFA in Fiction and Publishing.

I am happily married and have one son who is a Middle College and APSU graduate! This is my 15th year at The Middle College, my 21st year teaching for CMCSS, and my 25th year in education. I look forward to a great school year!
